4 Year graduation plan in Bihar will be started in all the universities of Bihar state from this year, whose information has been given according to the paper notice from the Government of Bihar. After the implementation of this course, the centralized process of enrollment will be adopted in it. The centralized enrollment process will come in acid from the next session. In this session i.e., 2023-27, enrollment will be done at the university level only.
This decision has been taken in the meeting held at Raj Bhavan on Thursday. The meeting was attended by the Vice Chancellors of State Universities, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department Deepak Kumar Singh, Secretary Vaidyanath Yadav, Principal Secretary to the Governor Robert L. Chongthu, Academic Advisor, Council of Higher Education, in the presence of Prof. N.K. Aggarwal.
Teaching Pedagogy in the four-year graduate course will be as follows: –
- According to the 4 Year Graduation Plan in Bihar New Policy, which came from the Government of Bihar, implementing the four-year CBCS course will follow the international standard. If a student wants to leave this course after passing the first year i.e., two semesters, then he will get a UG certificate, which will be 40 credits.
- The condition for this will be that they will have to do a vocational course of 4 credits in summer vacation. Similarly, after doing a four-semester course of 80 credits in the second year, if a student wants to leave this course, then on leaving, he will be awarded a UG Diploma degree.
- According to Bihar Graduation 4 Year New Policy, along with this, 4 credits of Vocational course will be mandatory. If a College student wants to leave this course after doing 3rd year i.e., 6 semesters of 120 credits, then on leaving he will get a UG degree, which will be equivalent to graduation. But any student who completes the course of 160 credits on completion of four years i.e., 8 semesters will be awarded the degree of UG degree (Hons).
NOTE: “Those who have 75% or more marks in the first six semesters will be considered as “Four Year UG Degree Honours with Research.”

Any student who completes a course of 160 credits on completion of four years i.e., 8 semesters will be awarded the degree of UG degree (Hons). Such students will have the advantage that they can complete the postgraduate course in a single year. Students who will do three years graduation course will have to do post-graduation in two years. A student who leaves the course after one or two years will have to re-enroll in the next year within three years of leaving the course.
